1. How much does delivery cost?
This depends on how much you spend. For example, delivery to UK Mainland, UK Non-Mainland, Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland for orders between £30-£99.99 is £5.50, orders of £100+ will qualify for free delivery. 2. How long will delivery take?
Most orders will be delivered to you 2-4 days after placing your order. If you have ordered a bat with our “Knocking-In” Service, it will usually be 7-10 days before it arrives at your door, or at peak periods (March/April/May) 10-14 days.
3. Can I collect my order in store?
Yes. You have the option to collect in store to save you delivery costs. Our showroom address is: Units 12 & 14, 289 Kennington Lane, London, SE11 5QY.
4. Is it just a website, or do you have a store as well?
Yes, we have a physical store in Kennington, London – just around the corner from The Oval, so make sure you stop by next time you’re there for an England or Surrey game!
5. Do you produce a catalogue?
No. All of our investment goes towards the website and physical store, and ensuring that we provide a slick, fresh, modern, dedicated, reliable and unique service to amateur cricketers. As part of this, our website is updated several times daily and acts as a catalogue.
6. What makes It’s Just Cricket different to other cricket retailers?
Although our prices are highly competitive, we compete on service rather than price. We are the only cricket retailer anywhere that’s 100% dedicated to amateur cricketers. As a result, our range is tailored towards the requirements of youth, school, colt, club, village, league and university players. This is the one cricket specialist shop where an amateur player can walk in or log on without the risk of feeling overawed or inferior, all the while receiving a personal service and specialist advice. In addition, all our cricket bats are hand-picked from the manufacturers, based on looks, pick-up and performance, to ensure that you (the customer) receive the very best quality willow available. Finally, we offer a Club Commission scheme and a half price "Knocking-In" Service, so we give something back and even help your club to earn money – all in an effort to develop and enhance the amateur game beyond simply supplying cricket equipment.
7. Are you open all year round?
Yes. These days a lot of amateur cricketers play, in some form or another, twelve months of the year. To support this, both the website and store are open all year round.
8. Do you accept sponsorship enquiries?
Yes, we welcome these, but only for clubs - not individuals. We typically look for worthy causes that match our company message ie. anything involving amateur clubs. We receive a lot of sponsorship enquiries, however, so unfortunately, we cannot make any promises or guarantees. For cricket clubs requesting sponsorship, please note that preference will always be given to those registered to our Club Commission Scheme. 9. Do you stock any other sporting equipment?
No. As our name suggests, we focus only on cricket. Rather than being a jack of all trades and a master of none, we believe that a dedicated focus on one sport is the only way to be a true “specialist”. It also allows us to tailor our offering, with the most comprehensive range of appropriate stock possible, as well as guaranteeing high levels of service and expert knowledge that all our customers deserve.
10. Do you play cricket?
Yes, of course. All of our staff are keen club cricketers, and have played the game for many years at amateur level. We have an unrivalled passion and enthusiasm for the game, and expert knowledge on all the products we stock. None of us have any professional experience, but as we don’t serve the professional market, we don’t see this as a limitation.
11. Is everything listed on the website carried in stock?
Unless otherwise stated, yes. The vast majority of displayed products are carried in stock. Unlike many other similar websites, we pride ourselves on an honest service that doesn’t mislead customers. If an item is either not in stock, or sold out, you will always see notification on the product page along with an estimate on how this will affect delivery times. In addition, the website is updated several times a day. A consistent, prompt and reliable service is therefore guaranteed.
12. Is there anywhere that you can’t ship to?
No, we are able to ship globally and our international customer base reflects that. We offer a ship by weight service for all customers based outside of the UK, meaning your shipping cost will be calculated at checkout based purely on the total weight of the products ordered.
13. Can I order over the telephone?
Yes, we are able to take credit and debit card payments over the telephone using our secure payment platform from PayPal. It’s a very quick and simple process. Simply call 0207 582 0038 and we’ll be happy to guide you through it.
14. I'd like to order an item, but you don't currently have it in stock. Can I please reserve / pre-order it?
Yes. If you want a specific item that, for whatever reason, we don't currently hold in stock, you can reserve / pre-order it. We simply ask that you put down a 50% deposit for the item. Delivery will take slightly longer than usual, but the goods will usually be delivered to you within 5-7 working days. We will ask for payment of the remaining 50% once we have received the item from the manufacturer and are ready to dispatch to you.
15. I am considering ordering a bat from you. Could you please send me some actual photos of it?
Yes, we can. Unlike many other retailers, we are able to show you exactly what your bat will look like in advance of your purchase, by emailing you images of the specific bat in question. We understand your need to see such images, and are glad to provide the reassurance that this brings with it. 16. Do you handpick your cricket bats?
Yes, unlike most other cricket shops, we handpick all our cricket bats from the manufacturers to ensure the very best quality willow available is passed on to you (the customer).
17. Do you offer a cricket bat repairs service?
Yes. We have a cricket bat repairs service, that includes a a full repair with re-handling and refurbishment, costing £65. For just a refurbishment we charge £40, and a re-handling service is £45. Typical turnaround time is 10-14 days. Please hand your bat in at our London store or post it to us. 18. Do you offer a cricket bat knocking-in service?
Yes. This is a very popular service, which we offer for all bats, regardless of whether they have been purchased from us or not. The rates are slightly lower for bats purchased from us, but all bats are welcome, and all knocked in by hand (with a mallet) as we believe this is the best way to get them ready to play! 19. Do you price match other stores?
No. We recently made the decision to stop price matching completely. We believe that, despite not being the cheapest, our products - especially our cricket bats (all handpicked) - are of a quality worthy of a premium price, and a lot of time and attention has gone into deciding, sourcing and promoting (YouTube etc.) our other stock. Not to mention our world renowned 5 star customer service that goes along with it. Our customers seem to think that we are the best cricket store in the world, so we need to price accordingly. If you just want the lowest price, we suggest that you shop elsewhere!
20. I want to visit your store - what is the nearest tube station?
