The modern age of cricket might call for a more swashbuckling style of play, but often this means higher risk. When you put your body into unusual positions to hit the ball around the ground, the chance of getting hit by the ball increases. Fortunately, the Gray-Nicolls Shockwave 800 Batting Pads, new for 2019, is the perfect teammate.
The Shockwave has a name that promises much, and a look that delivers. The cold blue of the Shockwave batting pads catches the eye immediately, with the angular, fractured pattern design suggestion the carnage the Shockwave range promises to create.
However, what is a look without performance? To match this high octane design, Gray-Nicolls's in-house product development team had to ensure fantastic performance for the modern game. High-density foam bolsters with cane rods help the leg guards deliver, giving a tremendous amount of protection on the front of the pad, with burdening the user with excess weight.
Further protection comes in the form of the ¾ length Diffuser foam wing. What does this do? Often, the side of the leg can be struck, with little or no protection against the fierce blow. The foam wing will repel even the fastest bowler without concern.
The EVA knee delivers extra flexibility and protection with Poly-Armour. With the need for increased movement and flex at the crease, the new knee area will allow batsmen to move freely, and with confidence.
Of course, whether you are playing T20 cricket or a Test match, we want you to experience outstanding comfort no matter the length of your innings. The Vapour foam instep will ensure exceptional comfort for your shin, ankle and foot, meaning you can merely concentrate on batting for as long as possible.
You've got your leg protection sorted with the Gray-Nicolls Shockwave 800 Batting Pads. Now it's time to get out there and show what a Shockwave batsman can do! We can't wait to see your results.

All 1kg+ orders outside of Europe are sent via air freight couriers (usually DHL or UPS), which are fully trackable, and usually take no longer than 3-5 days to arrive regardless of delivery location.
With the exception of small items (that will be sent through the post and put through your letterbox), all deliveries will require a signature on receipt. Our couriers will only make three attempts at delivery, so please make sure someone is there to sign for it. If you are unlikely to be at home on the date of delivery, we recommend that you provide a work address or next door neighbour’s address at checkout. If no one is at the delivery address when our courier tries to deliver your order, the courier will leave notification of an attempted delivery. The note will specify if you need to collect the parcel in person from your local postal collection office, contact the courier to arrange an alternative delivery date, or if they will attempt delivery the following day. Please note, in some cases, these may lead to a surcharge which the customer may be asked to pay.
Regarding returns, all of our products come with a 14 day money back guarantee (extended for special dispensation over the Christmas/New Year period). This is providing that the item has not been used and is returned as new, in its original packaging and excludes any postal costs incurred, which are your responsibility. Refunds will only be issued after the item has been returned. Please note that we cannot reimburse any returns for bespoke items, such as custom made bats or customised helmets.
