Due to high levels of demand it is taking a little longer to process orders than usual. We are working closely with all suppliers to minimise delay but delivery could take up to 10 days from placing an order. We and the Manufacturers apologise for this. Please note that our Wrexham premises will remain closed to visitors until further notice

FAQs

1. How much does delivery cost?

This depends on how much you spend.  For example, standard delivery to UK Mainland, UK Non-Mainland and Northern Ireland for orders between £20-£49.99 is £5.50, orders of £50+ will qualify for free delivery (Standard or Express service).  For a full breakdown, including costs for international deliveries, which are based on weight rather than order value, please check the Delivery Details section of the website.

2. How long will delivery take?

Express delivery orders to UK addresses will normally take just 1-2 days to arrive and will always be tracked, so you know the exact whereabouts of your order.  Standard Delivery orders to the UK typically take 3-4 days and may not be tracked.  If you have ordered a bat with our “Knocking-In” Service, it will usually be 7-10 days before it arrives at your door, or at peak periods (March/April/May) 10-14 days.

3. Can I collect my order in store?

Not at the moment but when restrictions are lifted, yes!.  You have the option to collect in store to save you delivery costs.  Our showroom address is: Unit 22, Abenbury Way, Wrexham Industrial Estate, LL13 9UZ.

4. Is it just a website, or do you have a store as well?

Yes, we have a physical store in Wrexham, North Wales, just on the Cheshire/North Wales border. We are about 14 miles from Chester, 50 Miles from Manchester, 35 miles from Liverpool and Shrewsbury.

5. Do you produce a catalogue?

No.  All of our investment goes towards the website and physical store, and ensuring that we provide a slick, fresh, modern, dedicated, reliable and unique service to amateur cricketers. As part of this, our website is updated several times daily and acts as a catalogue.

6. What makes It’s Just Cricket different to other cricket retailers?

Although our prices are highly competitive, we compete on service rather than price.  We are 100% dedicated to amateur cricketers.  As a result, our range is tailored towards the requirements of youth, school, colt, club, village, league and university players, men and women.  We are a specialist cricket store where an amateur player can walk in or log on without the risk of feeling overawed or inferior whilst receiving a personal service and specialist advice. Finally, we offer a Club Commission scheme and a "Knocking-In" Service, so we give something back and even help your club to earn money – all in an effort to develop and enhance the amateur game beyond simply supplying cricket equipment.

7. Are you open all year round?

Yes. We supply cricketers across the world and these days a lot of amateur cricketers play, in some form or another, twelve months of the year. To support this, both the website and store are open all year round.

8. Do you accept sponsorship enquiries?

Yes, we welcome these, but only for clubs - not individuals.  We typically look for worthy causes that match our company message ie. anything involving amateur clubs.  We receive a lot of sponsorship inquiries though so unfortunately, we cannot make any promises or guarantees.  For cricket clubs requesting sponsorship, please note that preference will always be given to those registered to our Club Commission Scheme.  Please contact us via email, sales@itsjustcricket.co.uk.

9. Do you stock any other sporting equipment?

No.  As our name suggests, we focus only on cricket.  Rather than being a jack of all trades and a master of none, we believe that a dedicated focus on one sport is the only way to be a true “specialist”.  It also allows us to tailor our offering, with the most comprehensive range of appropriate stock possible, as well as guaranteeing high levels of service and expert knowledge that all our customers deserve.

10. Do you play cricket?

Yes, of course.  All of our staff are keen club cricketers, and have played the game for many years at amateur level.  We all have a passion and enthusiasm for the game, and expert knowledge on all the products we stock.  None of us have any professional experience, but as we don’t serve the professional market, we don’t see this as a limitation.

11. Why is your range not as big as other stores?

We know that you are all busy people - and you don't have time to go through every single piece of equipment from each company. That's why we do it for you. We curate the best equipment, from the best ranges, from the best brands. We filter the manufacturers on your behalf to ensure you are only getting the finest equipment here at It's Just Cricket. We strongly believe that whilst we can't match some stores for quantity, we will beat any other retailer for quality.

12. Why are some of your listed bats out of stock?

Because people love them so much, our bats don't stay on the shelves long and our turnover is consistently quick at all times of year! Sometimes replenishing equipment can take a little longer than other stores, but we replenish very carefully to maintain the same high quality all year round. So we are sure it'll be worth the wait!

13. Is there anywhere that you can’t ship to?

There hasn't been yet. We are able to ship globally and our international customer base reflects that.  We offer a ship by weight service for all customers based outside of the UK, meaning your shipping cost will be calculated at checkout based purely on the total weight of the products ordered.

14. Can I order over the telephone?

Yes, we are able to take credit and debit card payments over the telephone using our secure payment platform from PayPal.  It’s a very quick and simple process.  Simply call 07737 046857 and we’ll be happy to guide you through it.

15. I'd like to order an item, but you don't currently have it in stock.  Can I please reserve / pre-order it?

Yes.  If you want a specific item that, for whatever reason, we don't currently hold in stock, you can still place an order for it. We have access to all of our suppliers UK stock and so if its physically available in the UK, we can get it. Delivery will take slightly longer than usual, but the goods will usually be delivered to you within 5-7 working days.

16. I am considering ordering a bat from you.  Could you please send me some actual photos of it?

Yes, we can if we have it in stock.  Unlike many other retailers, we are able to show you exactly what your bat will look like in advance of your purchase, by emailing you images of the specific bat in question.  We understand your need to see such images, and are glad to provide the reassurance that this brings with it.  Further, if you want an even closer look at any of our bats, check out the video reviews on our YouTube Channel.

17. Do you handpick your cricket bats?

Yes, unlike most other cricket shops, wherever possible we handpick our cricket bats from the manufacturers to ensure the very best quality willow available is passed on to you (the customer).

18. Do you offer a cricket bat repairs service?

It depends on the repair work required.  We can carry out minor repairs, "clean up" jobs, light refurbs and bat servicing, but not major repairs, like large cracks and re-handling.  We recommend that you approach a bat maker directly for such repair services.

19. Do you offer a cricket bat knocking-in service?

Yes.  This is a very popular service, which we offer for all bats, regardless of whether they have been purchased from us or not. The rates are slightly lower for bats purchased from us, but all bats are welcome, and all knocked in by hand (with a mallet) as we believe this is the best way to get them ready to play! For more information on our knocking-in service, check out our dedicated knocking-in page.

20. Do you price match other stores?

No. We always try to offer prices that are competitive with most other comparable specialist cricket retailers, but believe that the quality of our products is what sets us apart and is therefore worth a (small) premium. A lot of time and attention has gone into deciding, sourcing and promoting (YouTube etc.) our stock.  Not to mention our world renowned 5 star customer service that goes along with it.  Our customers seem to think that we are the best cricket store in the world, so we need to price accordingly.  If you just want the lowest price, we suggest that you shop elsewhere!

 21. Do you supply custom made cricket bats?

Yes.  We can deal with manufacturers on our customers behalf if requested. If this is a service you wish us to undertake for you please call us on 07737 046857 to discuss further. We can also handpick cricket bats especially for individual customers, ensuring that all their criteria are met, which according to our customers is almost the same as a custom made bat experience.
